Join us for a 2 day workshop where you will learn how to coil build one of Tania’s signature vessels.

In this workshop, Tania will be sharing her experience in clay and techniques she’s been using over the years. This workshop is for all levels of clay experience. we will work on covering all the fundamentals of coiling building and Tania’s approach to the surface and texture..By the end of this workshop, these valuable skills will stay with you, with the hope that you will expand the range of forms that you are able to create as you continue your own journey with clay. There will be a maximum of 6 people attending. All materials provided. 

Day 1 w/ 10:00am-2:00pm

Artist Talk + Demonstration of Vessel

Hands on Clay! Tania will be guiding you on your whole process of creating your vessel

Day 2 / 10am - 2 pm

- continuation of the form and approach to surface texture

Your work will be fired for you and you will be informed when it’s ready for pick up. Please note that these shapes require a very slow drying cycle in order for the clay to shrink evenly as the water leaves the body and avoid cracks. Therefore, it is 5-6 weeks time before your piece will be fired and ready to collect.

Please note that this workshop will take place with a minimum of 4 participants. If there are not four in this class you will be refunded in full or given the opportunity to attend a workshop on another date, whichever you prefer.
